Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer (ROS / KUKA / Industrial Automation)
We are partnering with an innovative robotics and automation company developing next-generation intelligent robotic systems for industrial applications. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to hire a hands-on Simulation Engineer to take ownership of their robotics simulation environments and help bridge development into real-world deployment.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving engineering team working on advanced robotics systems, autonomous workflows, and industrial automation technologies in a highly practical environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robotics simulation environments used for development, testing, and validation of robotic systems.
The role is highly hands-on and will involve working closely with robotics, software, controls, and automation engineers across both simulated and real-world systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining robotics simulation environments from scratch
- Working with ROS / ROS2-based robotics systems
- Integrating industrial robotics and automation workflows into simulation environments
- Supporting validation and testing of robotic systems before deployment
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams across software, robotics, and controls
- Helping improve development workflows, tooling, and simulation reliability
- Working closely with real industrial robotics systems and hardware integrations
Requirements
We are looking for engineers with strong practical robotics experience and a passion for building deployable systems.
Key experience includes:
- Strong experience with ROS / ROS2
- Experience building or owning robotics simulation environments
- Exposure to industrial robotics systems
- Experience with KUKA robotics preferred
- Understanding of PLCs, controls, or industrial automation systems
- Strong software engineering skills (Python and/or C++)
- Comfortable working in fast-moving engineering environments
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Webots, or similar simulation platforms
- Experience deploying robotics systems into production or customer environments
- Industrial automation or manufacturing experience
- Startup or scale-up environment experience
