Are you studying Law or Business Law and interested in how legal topics are applied within a modern software and AI company?

Our client is an established German software and AI company with around 300 employees and strong academic roots. Founded by a university professor, the company combines research-driven thinking with the development of digital products used by major organisations across Germany, particularly within the financial sector.

What you could work on
  • Reviewing contractual terms and supporting quotation and sales processes
  • Helping create and adapt software licensing, SaaS and confidentiality agreements
  • Supporting data processing agreements and technical specifications
  • Researching liability, warranties, usage rights, contract terms and termination clauses
  • Supporting tenders, procurement processes and formal documentation
  • Researching software licensing models, open-source requirements and usage rights
  • Maintaining contract templates, versions, deadlines and filing structures
  • Preparing legal information clearly for sales, project and technical teams
  • Exploring a defined legal or governance-focused thesis topic with expert guidance

What you should bring
  • Current enrolment in Law, Business Law or a comparable subject
  • An interest in IT law, contract law, AI governance and commercial topics
  • The ability to research independently and summarise legal information clearly
  • A careful, structured and confidential approach
  • Confidence working with colleagues from non-legal backgrounds
  • Ideally, initial knowledge of IT contracts, SaaS models, procurement or contract review
  • Excellent written and spoken German—minimum C1 level
  • English skills are beneficial, as some contracts are bilingual
  • Residence in Germany
