The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for building a next-generation platform for
AI-powered chatbots and process automation
. The solution leverages
generative AI

no-code configurability

enterprise-grade compliance (GDPR)
— enabling businesses to reduce workload through self-learning automation.
The platform is already integrated into complex environments and supports over
250,000 internal users
and
50+ million end customers
.
The team is expected to scale to
8–9 AI and Software Engineers
, and the incoming team lead will play a central role in that growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical and people leadership for a high-performing engineering team
- Structure and prioritize team workloads, manage sprints, and support delivery excellence
- Guide architectural decisions and ensure maintainability, scalability, and security
- Resolve technical and organizational escalations in a pragmatic, structured way
- Conduct hiring interviews, support onboarding, and foster a strong feedback culture
- Stay hands-on where needed (~20%), including reviewing code and solving blockers
Desired profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in software development, ideally with TypeScript and Python
- Exposure to AI/Machine Learning
- First leadership experience (or deeper) in software teams and personnel development
- Familiarity with agile methods , technical project planning, and requirement management
- Strong communication skills, structured work habits, and a team-first mentality
- Fluent German language skills
