About the Company
We're working with an ambitious, venture backed AI and robotics company based in Munich. As the business enters its next phase of growth, we're looking for a senior communications leader to shape how the company is positioned externally and help establish its reputation with key audiences.

The Opportunity
This is a communications leadership role with PR at its core. Success in this position will come from your ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with influential journalists, editors, analysts, and industry voices across AI, robotics, deep tech, and venture backed technology.
You'll take ownership of the company's external communications strategy, ensuring a clear and compelling narrative across media, investors, industry stakeholders, and future employees.
Alongside PR, you'll oversee brand and marketing activity, ensuring every communication supports a consistent company story.
This is an opportunity to join at an early stage, where you'll have significant influence over how the company is introduced to the market and how its reputation develops over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's communications strategy across PR, corporate messaging, and executive positioning.
- Build and strengthen relationships with journalists, editors, analysts, and other influential media contacts within AI, robotics, and emerging technology.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to develop thought leadership initiatives, media opportunities, and executive visibility.
- Lead communications around major company milestones including funding announcements, strategic partnerships, product launches, and international expansion.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and media coverage to continually refine messaging and positioning.
- Create a long term communications roadmap aligned with business objectives and company growth.
- Build and lead the communications function, including hiring and developing future team members.
- Oversee brand, content, and marketing initiatives to ensure they reinforce the wider communications strategy.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with journalists and media covering AI, robotics, technology, venture capital, or deep tech.
- Around 10 years or more of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, with a strong emphasis on media engagement.
- Proven ability to secure high profile media coverage and build awareness for innovative technology businesses.
- Experience advising senior executives on communications strategy, reputation management, and public positioning.
- Comfortable working within a fast moving, high growth environment where discretion and adaptability are essential.
- Excellent strategic thinking alongside strong execution and project management skills.
- Confident collaborating across leadership, commercial, engineering, and product teams.
- Previous experience building or leading communications teams is desirable.
- Experience across brand, content, or broader marketing is beneficial but not essential.
