Ryan’s Take On Current Market Trends
One of the most interesting trends I’m seeing in the market right now is the rise of agentic AI. Companies are increasingly exploring systems that can act independently and adapt on the fly, moving beyond static models to tools that can make decisions in dynamic environments. This shift reflects the demand for AI that can handle more complex, real-world challenges without constant human input.
At the same time, synthetic data is gaining momentum as a solution to some of the biggest roadblocks in AI development — namely, privacy concerns, the cost of data collection, and the scarcity of high-quality real-world datasets. By generating artificial but realistic data, organisations are able to train and test models faster, more securely, and at scale.
Together, these two areas are emerging as practical responses to the bottlenecks currently holding AI back, and I expect interest in both to grow significantly as companies look to accelerate their AI adoption.
Looking ahead, I believe agentic AI and synthetic data will remain two of the most important developments shaping the AI landscape over the next 6–12 months. Both address critical bottlenecks in adoption — from reducing reliance on costly real-world datasets to enabling systems that can adapt in real time.
For companies, this means moving closer to building AI that is not only more powerful, but also more practical and scalable. For candidates, it highlights where the next wave of demand will be, as businesses seek specialists who can turn these innovations into tangible results.
If you’d like to discuss how these trends are impacting the AI and data market — or explore how to position your business or career around them — feel free to reach out. I’d be glad to share my insights and help you take the next step.
